What is Mako Run Club?
Mako Run Club is a running and lifestyle apparel brand rooted in endurance, mental strength, and the ocean. Our name comes from the mako shark, the fastest shark in the ocean, a symbol of focus, momentum, and relentless forward movement.
Like running, the ocean rewards consistency, resilience, and the ability to keep going when conditions aren’t perfect. More than workout apparel, our pieces are built to motivate movement that feels good both physically and mentally. We blend performance-driven materials with coastal design to support runners not just on race day, but through every mile of the journey.
Our Story
After training for my first big race, I realized that running is about so much more than crossing a finish line. It’s about the mental strength and determination it takes to show up even when no one is watching.
I created Mako Run Club to celebrate that mindset. Inspired by the beauty of coastal running and founded in San Diego, California, Mako combines my passion for movement, the ocean, and the confidence that comes from doing hard things.
